Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I have no idea who the character is supposed to be, although the style is, of course, anime. Rose received the link to the site via an email circulated at her work. Bizarre case mods are a continuing interest there!

Makes one wonder where the air intake for the cooling fans is located...

hmm I think I remember someone in class recomending that book. I guess I will have to get it some time. As for what I need to know for the test... er not sure but I am sure I know it (just sloppy still) altogether I have done a couple years worth of Shudokan but it was broken up enough that I am still orange (had to re-earn that after taking 10+ years off). The company gym has some Tae Kwon Do classes that I might do some of once I get better at this style. I really want to learn Tae Kwan Leap some time too (boot the head!).
:D

*sigh* I guess I have to share now....*wink* Sorry I ruined your fun. :-D
You know you don't have to worry about that last half of your flight. We're gonna be talkin' so much you're gonna forget you're flyin'! :-)
Wonderin' how you're gonna react when you get in the car with me though. hehe

ooo impressive. Or they just have too much free time...
To: Wneighbor
Well, my momma always taught me that sharing is more fun. *cracking up*
Oh, I know the last half of the flight there will be much easier and I don't even want to to THINK about the drive yet!!!

Hehehe....on the last trip to NC I picked up 5 more drink coupons. The folks sitting in the same row with me couldn't use them up before they expired at the end of June.

Well, she's not exactly identical to either comic character, but they introduced her as "Kara from Krypton"; she was more powerful than Clark and revealed to him that he can fly (so far in the series he doesn't know he can fly); and Clark gave Lana the excuse that she was his "cousin", but later it was revealed she really wasn't, she was apparently a human whose memories and biology had been tampered with by Kal-El (who is kind of a villain so far in the series). So she has a lot of similarities to Power Girl, at least. But she was disintegrated at the end of the episode, so I guess it was a one-shot appearance! And Clark and Lex finally had their falling-out, so next season should be very interesting. . .

Just spend the first half of your flight thinkin' about stuff we gotta talk about! After that I will help with stress relief on the rest.
Of course since we're just getting a very cheapie rental car I seriously doubt that you're in for much of an exciting ride. One must needs power to make things really interesting....now, if Ramius were kind enough to let me take you for a ride in *his* car....

I read about your cybernastiness when I got back to Cheryl and Lynn's house this afternoon. (That was before my 3 hour nap) I'm glad you got it all straightened out. Ummm... if you'd let me, I could try to help with that wounded pride thing! :-D

Interesting... not exactly canon, but then adaptations never are.
Kal-El (who is kind of a villain so far in the series)
But, but... isn't that Clark's Kryptonian name?
