New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
*sniff*... that's just beautiful...
yeah... what she said...
With pleasure! (he'll be the one running away from the impact area...)
This is something that I see more fully now that Myranda is older too. She has talked a lot about some of the things going on during her high school years that just don't sound real for a teenager to have to deal with. She always talked to me a lot.... more than most kids.... but since she's away from home she's done even more. Gees, I dunno how some of them kids come out sane!!!
Steve izuh smart, and very brave man...
I need one of y'all to come help with muh neighbors dogs. They got a shepherd and a terrior. Nice dogs but they bark around the clock. I can't go out on MY deck without them barkin'.
And it pi$$e$ me off that this guy has actually called to complain about Sam barking.
Sam barks 1) when we leave or come home in a vehicle and 2) AT THIS GOOBER'S DOGS WHEN THEY START IT FIRST!
I hate irresponsible animal owners.
I dunno...
we got about a dozen tuhmaters in the ground... 4 are cherry tuhmater bushes...
Um...you musta missed it. The FBI took care of that.
He was involved in interstate drug trafficking. They tried to pick him up Friday. He fled in his vehicle. Rammed an FBI agent and was backing into a county officers car. Then they shot him.
I don't regret that he's gone. But 1) he was NOT armed and 2) his four-year-old was in the back seat. They weren't even watching his house to see if the kid was in the car.
Happened in broad daylight.
Oh, I don't know that you'd have wanted to see it. It was pretty ugly. And I was extremely foul mouthed back then. My neighbor was an old drunk who beat his wife and kids and I wasn't lettin' him get close enough to pull anything on me. It was a pretty ugly mess goin' on in my yard till the sherriff got there... and Myranda's dad got home. But, he didn't get the cow and the sherriff backed me up. Till Myranda's dad gave him the cow back. *sigh*
Hehehe....my Dad got tired of these dogs barking at him every time he took a walk so he made friends with them. Then they followed him home on the way back and started getting into it with the neighbor dogs.
I don't mind helpin'... just don't tell Hair...
Jr's not talkin' to us much. But he has a great group of male leaders he can (and does) talk to in youth group. It's really a place of refuge for him.
Alas, I can't for this test. FOUO- you know how it is. :(
Got some footage of another test- the Army's attempt at a BAB (big'@$$ bomb). In slo-mo you can see the shock front moving out and totally thrashing nearby assets. It really, really, really sucks to be the bad guys. Our soldiers rock and our forces roll. If only if we can get the politicans to grow a pair and toe the line.
I don't think my neighbor understood the dangers of messin' with elf wimmin. He was used to his wife who let him use her as a punchin' bag.
Does the dog get in your yard?
I'd say some stuff to do about it.... but dog-lovers would be attackin' me if ya get my drift.
It may be easier just to deal with the neighbor...
Course the feds did take away Glen's rottweilers. They'd been a neighborhood problem for a while (killed a neighbor's cat and other stuff).
I guess I did... well... at least our taxes ain't goin' tuh be wasted onnuh trial...
as long as Jr. knows that's how those guys end up, itsuh good lesson... I know 4 guys that I was around as a youth that are dead or in prison... cuzza that crap...
Dogs have gotten out a couple of times and I've whacked at 'em with a broom or whatever I've had handy. 'Course Jr. has a paint ball gun now.
They're really nice dogs. It ain't their fault.
That was Myranda's support system too. I knew that she was talkin' to the youth pastor about a lot of stuff she wasn't telling me about. One of the biggest reasons I was glad to drive a whole lot of miles to be in the church we were in. She had the best support system any kid could have outside good parents IMO. Well worth it. A thing lots of parents don't seem to see.
Mmmm- had some last nite in El Paso. A little family-run hole-in-the-wall, cheap as heck restaurant. Muy, muy bien. The poor waitress couldn't speak any English, but we managed fine.
It was a little mild flavor-wise which was perfect for my companions. One of whom has declared Ray-lenos her new favorite food. She was extremely skeptical last time out when she had one on a plate. The expression on her face was priceless when she saw the little stem sticking out (it reminded me of the dinner scene in "The Temple of Doom"). "Is it supposed to have that???" she asked. Now that's all she orders.
Next trip I'll try to teach her to pronounce it correctly.
