Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hehe...my day's most "exciting" moment consisted of my youngest daughter (22 months) stripping completely naked in her crib
after, of course, doing a little "poodie" in her diaper.
I heard these delighted squeals coming from her room and entered, only to find her jumping up and down among small turdlettes.
I'm tellin' ya, it's a thrill a minute in my house. *grin*

Hello there BiRB!!! Reason I ask is that our local conservative talk show, KSEV launched a groupweblog called Chronically Biased, counteracting...you guessed, the Chronicle.
Just wanted to spread the word around. Dan Patrick runs a great radio station!
In other news, I sit waiting with sinking heart in hopes of hearing whether or not I will get a part in a play I just tried out for. That was Wednesday. the director said within the next 3-4 days.
I wont be TOO terribly upset, but this is the second time I have tried out for this particular director. Good thing is that he got curious enough about me Wed to put me in with a group of people for 'stayover' tryouts after the initial tryout...I think to see what else we all could do. I am afraid I ratehr disappointed.
