combined with what?
Docking the thing at 8 kts. is probably interesting as well.
I suppose those guys are holding some version of the FAL, do you think?

Docking the thing at 8 kts. is probably interesting as well. As long as you get it right the first time, it's no problem at all. Timing is everything. :-) Truth is... the buggers were tough to drive in close quarters, but with a little practice it was no big deal. I'm not sure what that rifle is. It might be an FN-FAL but I didn't think it had a wood stock. The wood stock is throwing me. It's not an AK-variant either. Dunno.

Very similar, actually. There were overhead views of the soldiers running that looked like they were generated by the same software as the battle scenes in TTT and ROTK.That's how it looked to me from the commercial--I guess TTT and RotK set the cutting edge there! :)
Yes, I remember Epic, and all the other titles you listed. Even have some in my collection, somewhere...
I bought a couple issues of Epic when it came out but I was too young to really appreciate it then. Now I'm more aware of some of the authors so I find it more interesting. I always like coming across back issues of stuff like that, especially the old Marvel black-and-white mags which I keep an eye out for, so I was happy to find the Deadly Hands of Kung Fu. Savage Sword of Conan was another one of my favorites.

That sounds like a pretty neat class! When you say he's teaching it the way it was before 1900, do you mean like the style that was predominant in posters from back then?--not sure the name of the style but Norman Rockwell kind of resembles it.

No, not poster art so much, but more the tradition of drawing and painting accurately that goes back to the old masters, but went "out of style" about the turn of the last century when impressionism, and then modernism came in.
"Realistic" art, as they call it, is what he teaches.
The kid that likes comic art is OK there, since lots of comic book art, as you know, is grounded in the ability to draw accurately. I think there have been comic book artists that have been real experts in figurative work.
