Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

No rush on the anime. I'd LIKE to have it, but I'll live. ;-) Actually I've been pretty darn busy anyway...various gigs coming up and it's the last week of school at the college. *snif* Several of our workstudy students are graduating. Gonna miss them.

19" Flatscreen?

Wrinkle in Time is starting! :)I don't get TV, so this is something I'll have to wait for. I'd still be interesting in hearing how it is...if it's good quality and true to the book.

19" LCD ....it's pretty flat. But the monitor seems to be behaving for now so perhaps I can put it off some more. In an emergency, I can always use the TV.
To: Ramius
Just ask him.Still not gonna ask him nothin. I already know from what you said that I don't wanna talk to him! :-)
But if you want, I'll come up and give him a good talkin' to. I can tell him how the cow ate the cabbage in the sweetest way imaginable so he won't know what hit him till I'm finished. Guarantee that he'll go the other way if he ever sees me comin' in his direction again! It's the G.R.I.T.S trainin. Ya'll need some o' that. :-)

What do you think of it? I haven't read the book, so it's new to me. Seems pretty good so far.

The quality's good. I can't say how true to the book it is since I haven't read the book yet; but seeing it makes me want to read the book, which I guess is a good sign.

Goin' good here! I'm heading south Wednesday afternoon. Prolly not be online Wednesday evening. Thinkin' of stayin' over at Grama's house. Then, Thursday I'll be at Aunt Cheryl's. I'll have my cell phone if ya'll need me.
Myranda and I are probably going to the drive in Thursday night and I'll drive on down anytime ya'll want Friday. :-)

It's been years and years since I read the book, but what I've seen so far seems to be close to the book.

"there can be only one... :-)" This one might be secretly gay...he flits, skips and chirps around the house and talks about wearing women's clothes when he is not being a great expert on any subject you care to name.
Also is bitchy to my wife...in the way that another female would be.

Sounds like a plan, as long as it isn't making a loud 'clunk' when you come to a stop you should be okay.
