Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Wow, that is cool. I'd love to visit another, civilized, country. My friend who lives in Colorado visited Japan for a semester. He said one thing that struck him was how everybody seemed to always assume because he was an American who was interested in martial arts he must be a secret agent or something, LOL! He was also very impressed with how seriously the Japanese Karate students practiced. I think he said buying stuff there was either real expensive or real cheap--don't remember for sure but I think he said expensive.

Hehehe...soon as I go surfing for monitors, the flickering stops.

Good so far--it's only about 10 minutes into it, but the actors seem okay so far.

That looks very nice Hair. I like the life ring and the house numbers. Very cool for the beach! :-)
Interesting, I seem to work about 90% of the time on that stuff that no one would notice unless I didn't do it!

Had a another famous flameout by the head Balrog. I'd post the e-mail that I got on Sunday morning, but it uses words that would get me banned. It was a subject of much stress on Sunday, with me, two of my staff and the CFO, COO and CEO all involved. Balrog is unfortunately COTB.
Balrog was in a hotel room at 1:00AM sunday morning having an email problem. It's a long story, but he couldn't get no satisfaction. He left a message for the on-call tech, but didn't leave a callback number. Leaves a message for me, too, but my phone has lost it's signal and doesn't ring through. Morning comes and all hell breaks loose.
Today however we were able to more or less conclusively show that it was all his own dumb self that was the problem from the beginning. [sip].
We smote his ruin on the mountainside. :-)
