I dont' think you'll have that much trouble with a more open trailer. Stock or slant. Just run the rope thru the side window and get a long pole and tap him above his tail, just like you saw Joe do. He was getting in and out of mine with no problem, Your trailer was just a little more closed in. If he hadn't had to be taken so far the first time, you problably wouldn't have had so much trouble the next day.
The most important thing is once you start working you can't quit till he gets in even if it takes all day and night. Don't stop. Something I don't know if we told you, before you even start getting him in the trailer, lunge the devil out of him, lunge him till his tongue is dragging the ground.

I think that is why I haven't started with this one yet because it may turn into an all day job. Hope not. Good idea about the lunging. You know all I have to do is loosen the saddle though and he will wear himself much better than I ever could :')
