If he were in the back of the car waving.... I am sure you'd go.... ;~D
LOL....well maybe....but I really enjoy riding too:)
You know, after 30 years of marriage, we have figured out it's OK for each of us to have our own interests and to go do those interests with out the other. Mack and I are so alike and so different. I can tell buying this building has been very good for him. He's a real people person. Good at smoozing. Our little town is trying to revitilize our downtown area, and he is getting to kown all the people and committeess, (and gossip:), about getting business to move down there our downtown area as kind of gotten off the beaten path and died off some. I have no interest in that sort of thing. I have no patience when it comes to schmoozing. I'd rather deal with animals:).
Fri. night when we were down there one of the men that is really spearheading the movement that Mack has gotten to know well was there. His wife is going to be the principle of one of the pubilc schools here. 1-4 grade I think. Mack told me, (oh, you know what I think of the public school system, right??) "Becky, now I would like to stay friends with this guy, so don't get into it with his wife about the schools". Is all I could say was, "I'm not lying or hiding my opinion, but I'll be nice about it" :) LOL...he laughed.
Anyway, when you each presue your own interests but are will ing to listen and be interested in discussion each others interests it gives you something to talk about in the evenings when you meet back up.
I'm rambling now, sorry. We;ve just been discussing lately how there seem to be so many couples who don't want their spouses to go off and presue something that interests them without it ALWAYS being TOGETHER thing. We don't understand that thinking. You can be individuals and still stay happily married.
