Thread III: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1311311/posts |

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
A few of us thought it would be interesting and informative to have a chat thread where we can share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. We may not ~always~ have a lot of activity, but when we do, it will be fun. I will put a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I will also develop a ping list for horse threads that are of interest. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
I am hoping this thread will be a fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
It's an organization that certifies a teacher/trainer's skills..
Riding is considered an extreme sport by a lot of insurance carriers..It makes insurance companies very happy to know that the folks handling the horses, that are hauling the kids, are peer reviewed..

Hey, Becky
Did the snake have rattles on its tail, Bob says it looks like a rattlesnake. maybe even a timberrattler.
cs
I thought it might be some kind of rattlesnake too, but it didn't have any rattles. Do baby rattlesanakes have rattles, It wasn't too big.
Becky
Bob said that baby rattlers don't have rattles that you
can see.

Sadly, my horse died when I was five and we had to move to another house and leave her stick and mane behind. No matter how I pled, my parents never would agree to let me get a real one.
Rick and Lisa came in and we went to see them yesterday and look at thier new house, they are going to be living near Cleveland. We ended up spending the night over last night and did't get home till this afternoon.
Thanks for being concerned about my babies.
cs
So was the house OK. I know you said they bought it sight unseen.
Becky
Well it's never too late.
Welcome to the thread.
Becky
Yea, It is a verynice doublewide, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, big kitchen, and they even have a hot tub in the main bath. They were trying to get things moved from thier apartment to there. You can actually see Keystone Lake from their driveway.

Hey all. We are back with Okies new wheels ( well actually they are 6 yrs old:')
Slept like a baby. I had to get up at 4 though. There were problems getting out of here last night, It was a long trip. We hit rain 1/2 the way back. There is nothing like driving thru down town Houston in a thunderstorm, pulling a horse trailer:')
Eddie and I talked about this on the way back. Funny thing traveling in a truck. You have to talk to each other:'). Anyway I've agreed to stop worrying so much and stay out of the horse behavior books. Let me see if I can get this right. "You've read it once. You don't need to read and keep reading every xxxx book about it. PUT THE BOOKS UP! :') Isn't he a sweety? :')
AWW. I love the kitty posters. I was at State line Tack today and the vet was in and lots of pound kitties for adoption. I would have got one if it wasn't such a long drive back. How's you cat doing, by the way?
