thank you for last night it seem to help to talk about my son. you seem to understand more than most people. some just don't know even though they mean well. i appreciate all my friends and thier thoughts and concerns but some of this i have to do myself and no one can help.
cs
Hey CS. Glad to see you got some rest. We are all here for you.
Got to run to Walmarts. I'll post the pictures when I get back (hopefully) Eddie has to set up some kind of program.
I'll just sit here and wait!
~tapping fingers~
Sorry, I was out of milk and I have to have a bowl of cereal before bed.:') We are seriously "discussing " this. He wants to know if it can wait until tomorrow. I told him "well Hair waiting" :') grrrr. Manana syndrome. He's working on it.
Oh dear..... ;~D Don't do it just on my account. Post them manana then!
I can tell you about today though. I learned a lot. I got tired and it was as much work as fun but sometimes you just have to work:') Anyway, I got on the second attempt. He scooted and I stepped down and whamed the leadrope against the saddle and made him jump back and then he was perfectly still which is good because I had to drag my right leg over his butt behind the saddle. He is so sensative to what I do in the saddle. He kept stopping and starting with trotting. I was overcompensating and digging my heels down and leaning back like to stop and that is what he would do so I stopped that but it still continued with him almost dragging his head on the ground. One of the boarders told me I was raising the reins up and he was doing it to get away from the bit. So I stopped that and made sure I kept my hands below the horn. A completely different trot. Smooth and not bouncy then he STOPPED. I'm thinking what did I do now? I knew my hands stayed low but the boarder told me they came up a few inches even though I stayed below the horn but it was enough to get him to wondering what I wanted to do. So I watched that. Then I tried walking him sideways. No way so I walked him to the fence in front of the chicken coop. He wasn't paying attention till he got there and then it was like "what?". He eyeballed them a few second and then I guess decided they weren't going to eat him and thought he was going to rest. Funny guy. I walked him sideways to the right really well. I couldn't to the left yet though because my right leg still sore but we did a lot off different stuff today in 35 minutes. I'm going for 40 Monday until I can get back to 1-2 hours.
He had the entire time while I was at Walmarts. He played party poker instead:') Probably tomorrow though. He's still studying it.
I sure wish I could ride with ya and watch picture all this... I am not sure I understand completely what was going on in the trot, but certainly you can either assist or interfere with him by what you do. Glad there are people there helping to point it out, and I am looking forward to the pics!
Well all I know is that when I keep the reins down he keeps his head up now. It was like riding a leaning headless horse and I had to sit back like going down hill. All this time I thought it was just the way he trotted. Clueless, huh? lol
I hope Eddie got a picture when he saw the chickens :')
Well, more important to me than your hand position is how tight your contact with his mouth is, and whether your hands are soft and flexible to move with him. If you are interfering too much, then he'll worry more about fighting that than working smoothly. You'll get it. You obviously can feel it when it is 'right' now. ;~D
Pictures may be coming :')
By the time we got Jenny's hair done it was late, and we had to go pick up a pizza and get back in time to see a boxing match. We like boxing. I forgot to take a picture but she is spending the day here after church will get one then.
Wish you could have seen the process. First we had to bleach what we were going to color, then we had to color it. She cut her hair a week or so ago. Her hair is really really dark. She colored the back underneath hair red:). The style that her hair is is it will flip up in the back so the bottom of the flip will be red the top will be black. LOL. The things hair stylist do to themselves. It's fun to watch.
I worked in the garden and yard all day yesterday. Our bunko party is this week at my house, so I'm working on getting everything pretty. It's going to be a busy busy week. But I will be riding every morning, so if you want to go just let me know. I'm usually out of here by 8:30-9:00.
Becky
Technical problems still:') I may not post many anyway lol. I see what the girl meant now. My hands so out of position. I''ve got the reins spread and almost chest high in some of them :'(
Can I enlarge at York Photo?
They may have the ability to crop photos there.... but not really enlarge unless they started out pretty high res. are they just appearing really far off again? Do you have any photo editing tools or even MS Paint that would allow you to crop before you load them?
