They are calm and gentle as a rule... Good luck to her... I just think new riders have enough on their hands without trying to learn and teach at the same time!
Well the heat got to me while Michelle was here, I'm going to go nap:). I guess it's true once you've experienced heat stress your more prone to it. We were only out there maybe 15 minutes, and I had to tell her I needed to go in and sit down. Thought I was going to puke or pass out. Probably the Krispy Kremes didn't help.

I have still never had a krispy kreme.... we don't have one in town I don't think.
I agree. But this girl and her husband are really differnt. They have no electricity, she had her babies at home, etc. Really tough. So funny too, she is such a pretty petite girl, about the age of my son.

I think the manna that the Hebrews ate while in the wilderness must have been Krispy Kremes. The discription of manna in the bible is exactly like them:)

Have a good nap.... I think I am headed for the same. It's 90 here.
That's not bad at all. My son works 2-10 and going to school. He and his 2 little boys here indefinately and I'm having to re-adjust my riding schedule. I guess I'll go back to mornings when the sitter here but I'm giving up my security blanket. No one else around. Oh well, I'll just have to tough it out:')
Security blanket?
Lot's of people around. During the day I can get a worker to hold his head but then I'm pretty much on my own. I used to like it that way but the last couple of months my husband been going with me. He really likes it out there and we are looking for another horse. We are just going to have to cut the evenings down to about 2 a week. We were going 5. We work well together. We argue big time sometimes and sometimes on the way to the stable but it's like we both get happy around the horses.:')
Horses make people happy. They're good therapy. :-)
Yeah. A lot of re-habs use them for balance and interaction.
Have a nice ride today:)
Becky
Thanks! I'm hoping it doesn't rain!
You do rehab work? Me too. I'm a rehabilitation nurse but I specialize in geriatrics. They keep me at a desk but it's cool because I get to go thru charts looking for problems and the residents drop by with "fun" suggestions. Right now I'm pushing for a game room with a computer and pool table. A couple of months ago we went "fishing". I've seen some of the larger rehabs that specialize in head/spinal injuries. Swimming pools, stables...!!!! In my dreams here probably but where there is a will there is a way, you know lol
Locksmiths are kind of like ferriers around here:'). Good money. I locked the keys in the car in Houston one day. 35 dollars for about 35 seconds and I was told that was a good price because most higher:')
