Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
A few of us thought it would be interesting and informative to have a chat thread where we can share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. We may not ~always~ have a lot of activity, but when we do, it will be fun. I will put a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I will also develop a ping list for horse threads that are of interest. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
I am hoping this thread will be a fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I'm gradulally putting in windows that have sealed blinds inside. You aren't supposed to ever have to dust again.

I wish mine would play in the hose..... I'd think it would feel good!
He'll turn this way and that to get sprayed all around. I wonder what he would do in a sprinkler? Probably paw at it and just tear it up:( He pawed the leak till the hole got bigger, and I had to fix it. I've thought Grizzly was the one tear up the hose, now I wonder...

When I spray mine with the hose they resent it!
Give him a sprinkler and see.... maybe one of the very tough little metal ones that he couldn't break easily!
I'll have to get one next time I'm at the store and try it.

Yeah, poor Grizzly has been getting the blame for all the leaks in my hose:(.

I just woke up. I went home early feeling really tired. All that reading about house work:')Shoulder feels good now. Hip a little sore but not bad. Head feels fine. Wow. I feel like.... riding horses lol

I mowed.... watering now, and playing with the hose.
Might re-arrange the bedroom if I can get ecurbh's interest in that.
That's what I just finished doing....oh man the dresser is heavy. Took me about 30 minutes to get it moved. Then I had to rearrange all the pictures on the walls. Change out some of the kids pictures.
I had twin mirrors on the back of my dresser, I took them off and hung them on the wall on either side of the bed. My bed doesn't have a head board, kind of different.

Almost? :') Yeah, I'm in the catalogs looking for butt padding and noticing the sad shape my bedroom in.
We just added a TV to the bedroom, and it is now sitting on the dresser. I need that dresser top back! New plan will involve a complete new arrangement! I don't want to do that by myself!
Butt padding? - I thought we've spent all this time trying to ~lose~ that!
lol. That's probably what saved mine.
This is the dresser that was so hard to move. I couldn't get some of the screws out to take all the braces off for the mirrors. Mack will have to do it.
