She gets really frustrated, and in the last pic she backed up and slammed right into him! Bless his heart, he's interested, he just has absolutely no idea what she wants.

My experience has been that as long as they are around "hot" hot wire, then they usually will respect even fake hot wire. I've noticed the last few days tho that the wire that is suppose to be hot out there isn't. I've just been to busy to find the problem. But that will be on the agenda tomorrow for sure. I don't think Rusty would go anywhere even if he got out, but Rocky would.
I will be sure to watch for your pictures tomorrow:).

My hotwire isn't providing much punch any more, and I think it is because the ground is too dry. Has to have good wet contact at the ground rods... need to hose it down and see if that's it.
Wet ground has not been a problem here. We have been getting an unusal amount of rain. The humidity has been horrible. I'm hopeing to get out tomorrow by 8:30 on Reba, then work Harley in the arena tomorrow evening. With all the rain the mold in the air is bad, and I've been having a terrible time with either allergies or a cold, not sure what I have, but I'm ready for some dry weather.

The pictures still at Walmarts and I've been sleeping. What is today? Wednesday? Friday coming up fast:') lol. I had a fall yesterday and kind of banged up. Been resting:')

I didn't know they could stop cycling if there was no meaningful male around:)?
I will be taking Belle to the vet to be vet checked to see if she is in foal about the middle of this month. The kids have never noticed her coming back into season yet. (fingers crossed), My vet likes to wait 45 days to check them.

I didn't know if they would stop either... I just hadn't noticed any of these scenes yet this summer and had begun to wonder because she always made such a noticeable fuss in past years. She will squeal and make a fuss like this now for the next few days. :~D
Can you not put her on BC and invite a playmate over? :')

That's what the kids said Belle does down there with their geldings, so since she is not doing it so far, I take that as a good sign. If we get thru this week with no horsing then I would say she is in foal, but I'll still make sure at the vets.

If it is a problem when she is in season, there are implants that can be put in her neck that will keep her from cycling. I put them in Belle twice, thinking that might have been her problem. The vet just makes a little nick in their neck and puts this capsule that slowly disolves. One stitch. I can't remember what it costs, not that much, or I wouldn't have done it:)

She does become a fractious thing, but since she ain't workin', it isn't really a problem, but the fact an implant exists is good to know!
Heh.... Never minds. I just figured out what "BC" meant, LOL! ;~D I'd rather get Bay some kind of meds to let him play.... he'd love to know what this is all about!
She's a nice built pony:) I like her 4 white socks. She looks like she'd be pretty tough. Make a nice pack horse for you.

She'd be a pretty flashy little pack pony.... we'd love to try her.... maybe I'll see if there is pony-sized pack saddle gear I can put on my Christmas list!
I bet a donkey size would fit her. Aren't some kind of donkey or mule used for packing???
