The left just can't be funny, they're too full of hate. When folks like us use humor against Kerry, et al., it strikes me as good-natured. The left can't say anything without spitting and snarling, a la Janeane Garofalo and Michael Moore. I think you have to enjoy life to have a real sense of humor, and the lefties just don't.
Sometimes their humor is unintentional, though:
COURTNEY Love knows whom to blame for her troubles. The rocker - who has gone broke, been arrested for drugs, and is fighting for custody of her daughter, Frances Bean - somehow blames President Bush. "The last thing I want to say is that I'm a victim, but I am," Love told Rolling Stone. "I believe it's a trickle down from Bush," she said, particularly of her financial situation. "I should have done an audit. But did I bring it on myself? I don't think so." (PageSix)
Have you seen the new Bush internet ad? It hit the website within 2 hours of Kerry's address to the newspaper editors' convention yesterday!
Kerry said--on camera: "I never ran a one negative advertisement against my opponents in the primaries....(almost inaudibly) and I haven't run negative ads yet."
The Bushies show this clip, freezing it at the end where Kerry has a "did I really say that?!" look on his face.
Then they show a montage of Kerry's negative ads, each building on the other until it's a cacophony of negative sound bites.
The killer is at the end. "Kerry's negative ads have run more than 28,285 times. 28,285 times. Tell the truth."
Precision humor. Somebody was instantly ready with the exact # of times Kerry's ads had run. These guys are GOOD!
