I've had very limited online time lately - my laptop's hard drive fried and died. I cannot get my stoooooooooooooooooooopid desktop to connect to the net. I am at the apartment complex business center now trying to catch up with the thread.

Organ donation?
It's overrated as a "cure" - need to find something else for many of the patients. But there is a lot of money invested and made in organ transplants, so progress in other directions is not so enticing now.

My husband died soon after receiving a kidney and pancreas -- it was an awful ordeal, and the hospital did not want it on the records as a failed transplant procedure. Doesn't look good for the program you know.
