So, I go to the car wash for the very first time today. I have always washed, waxed and buffed my van by hand in the driveway.

But, today, I decide to try out this new technology of car washing. Okay, so I feed three dollars in quarters to the machine to vacuum out my van. Then I proceed to the car wash section.

Oh my, what a variety of choices. I choose 'pre soak' first and feed my quarter in to the machine. Well, after a dollar I was pre soaked, me and the van. Then I chose 'high pressure' wash. I put my quarter in and was instantly spun around by the nozzle I was holding in my hand like a puppet. I dropped the thing but it kept trying to whip me on the concrete. I ran. Then the owner came up and ask me if I had a problem. I told him yes. He advised me to hold it with both hands, as I am a little woman. I did, and got the van washed. Then I had to choose from a low pressure rinse or a high one. Guess which one I chose? Okay, now that I have it washed and rinsed, I was brave at looking at the other options. Oh my, I could get a turtle wax. So, I feed the machine some more quarters and did just that. But, then the overhead announcer told me that I should put some more quarters in for the soft rinse. I did.

All in all, it cost me almost ten dollars, a sore shoulder and my wounded pride. I think I'll stick to the driveway next time. LOL

Don't ya have the kind of car wash where you put your car on a track and it does all the washing for you?

LOL....Sounds like a fun time..I just leave mine out in the rain to get washed off..........
