I am laughing so hard. I had never heard that joke.

But, I ask you this as a southern woman to another southern woman. Why do we love to put fake animals on our lawns? I will confess that I have a goose that I dress in finery on my porch, according to the holiday and weather.

But, I have never, ever, and never will have a flamingo in my yard. As if they are southern, really. LOL

"As if they are southern"

Oh, I know, but it does seem to be some kind of a curse. Ringy has an amusing tale of the cursed pink flamingos. I don't know what it is about the fake animals. It makes no sense, but lately I find myself drawn to fake horses and frogs and such. Makes no sense at all, especially being surrounded by these things for real.

By the way, catpuppy. I think that bear is on the move again. Seems we had a bear loose on the town today dining on pizza and Chinese food from the dumpsters of a couple of our eating establishments and refreshing himself in the creek down below. It was really rather amusing seeing all the cops in town (all 3 of them) in their uniform shorts, gazing in confusion into this creek from the bridge. I saw them on the way back to the office this afternoon, but word of the bear preceeded me. He was already the talk of the office. The cops had no idea what to do. LOL!
