Hmmm...that symptom did not/has not presented with Mrs.L. Being a registered nurse, and working for SSI to determine disability claims she pretty much self-diagnosed the problem, which was then confirmed by our neurologist.

He told us that the leisons that showed in her scans could only be from three causes (I only remember two) syphllis or MS or??? and her blood work left only MS...

She has the remitting/relapsing type, and has only had one bad episode after overdoing it several years ago on our trip to Lake Cumberland. The two things the doc told her to avoid were over-heating and over-stressing herself. She self-injects weekly with Avonex, and I guess that it is helping.

Is your brother going to a good neurologist? This disease is not at all difficult to diagnose, if you have the right equipment and training...
