Stories like that make me wish for the Old Testament, "eye for an eye" treatment of the perp...and there are way too many horror stories of nursing homes and their near-criminal employees in this country.

They evidently didn't figue that guy was of "The Greatest Generation" Might have been better if he had bought it during the war.....Might still have died lying in Sh*t, but it would have been a better death......JMHO...

Yes, and we can blame it on Medicare. Before Medicare, families kept their parents or grandparents at home as long as they could possibly take care of them. And if they could not, they had to place them in private facilities. You better believe they got excellent care, because the families were paying out of their own pockets. Now, I know so many people who couldn't care less if their family member was being cared for. In fact, they only visit once a month to berate the staff.

Sad.
