When I first registered to vote I was listed as a Democrat .. mainly because my mother was and because of things I had read about John Kennedy.

My first election I didn't know who to vote for and my mother told me to vote for Ronald Reagan.

It was after watching Reagan and learning more about the Dem party and what they were really about that I realized .. I was not one of them.

I don't always agree with the Republican Party .. but their values are closer to mine.

The Dem Party claims to be for the poor .. they claim to be the under dog

Well I grew up poor and I was once the under dog .. and you know what .. I wasn't able to even get school lunches when I attended public school .. you want to know why ... because my mother had a job.

There were many days I went hungry because I didn't want to be a burdon to my mother and you know what .. I'm glad I did. It taught me to work hard and make something of myself.

It taught me independence .. and it taught me that the Democrats don't give a flying hoot about anyone but themselves

They most certainly don't give a damn about the underdog. They simply USE the underdog by KEEPING them poor and then keep promising more things they are NEVER going to deliver. It escapes me how the black folk keep sticking with Democrats as voting block because the Democrats have NEVER done a single beneificial thing for them. They simply keep them poor and keep them expecting to receive something. HUH? WHEN do they wake up???
