I know what you mean about Betsy! I get attached to my vehicles too!
However! It sounds like you got a great new one! I've been wondering what you were going to do when Alison gets much older! This is great for ya'll!

I love Rav4s. I wanted one the first time I saw one, cause they're just so darling! And a nice size.
And, of course, I loved my Corolla...so I liked the idea of having a little Toyota SUV type thingie.
But I admit having the people space of my van is coming in very handy lately. Probably won't be that way forever, but it's been great for me...just wish sometimes that it was cute and sporty. ;-)

It is a great size! Just like a Corolla but with height and an indoor trunk! LOL!!
And I like the older model's appearance more so than the newer, egg-ier shaped ones.

Cue William Tell Overture Happy Anniversary! Happy AnniversaryROFL! I was trying to find a download of that song but I couldn't find one :) What's funny about that is one time my brother wanted to sing that song to his then-girlfriend/now-wife for their "anniversary" (i.e. of when they started dating), and he picked up the phone and started singing it thinking it was her on the other end--only after he was finished with the song, it turned out it was his college's admissions office :)

Oh, I was gonna ask you which shape it was - so it's one of the older types? I like that one better, too...the new ones are bigger and kinda look...I dunno...more like an insect? ;-) I still like them, but not quite as much. They aren't as distinctive as the older ones.
Only 39k! That's a baby indeed.

Actually we ended up just talking, about Briggs-Meyers personality tests and comic book heros - how Batman and Kenshin are similar, for one - and religion.
If I'm supposed to do any kind of witnessing at all, it's to people like this - geek types whose only exposure to Christianity has been really negative. I'm not out to convert anyone but I do know how to explain what I believe in a way that's not offensive and is fairly logical, which appeals to a lot of geek types.

http://www.middle-earth-music.com/main.htmlLooks like a neat music hall! Is that the same one they used at the end of RotK where you were serving drinks to Sam and Co.? :)
Guess you're going to bed now, so have a good night!
To: JenB
How'd you decide Batman and Kenshin were similar?
I'm interested in the subject of how one goes about witnessing to geeks. I have a few friends I've been working on for years and it's a challenge.

Ooohhh... but Rutheee... a RAV4 is so *YOU*. That really works.
I felt really bad about leaving my Toyota 4x4 pickup behind in a car lot too. That truck and I had been in some really weird places together, got into some places that dirt bikes feared to tread, and she always got me home. That truck could do things that were simply amazing to watch (later, much later, on video). Loved that machine, and yeah, we'd been together for about eight years.
Of course that twinge only lasted until I dropped the top on the Mustang and took it home on the freeway, dropped into second at sixty and hearing the most wonderful gawdawful smallblock V-8 throaty scream coming from out under the hood. [pant pant] oooooohhhhhh.... then for some reason I felt much better about it. :-)
