Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

What movie? What did I miss?!!Are you sure you want to know? :) It's called 10.5 at it's on NBC at 8 CST. We had a separate thread on it last night, to be resumed tonight for Pt. 2. Warning: it's very bad. . .
To: Wneighbor; Fedora
The part of the movie that bugged me the most was the herky-jerky zoom-in zoom-out camera work. At points it got so bad I had to turn away cause it was making me dizzy! It's like the cameraman just discovered the zoom control and feels the need to use it on EVERY FREAKIN' SHOT!

Well, the second half is on tonight.... I reckon it'll be starting soon. Rose posted a live thread for it last night. You could watch the second half only since I only got to watch the first half! And you won't miss out on the plot any.

It's like the cameraman just discovered the zoom control and feels the need to use it on EVERY FREAKIN' SHOT!Yes, that was very disturbing. And since I constantly watch without my glasses, with that zooming stuff going on I didn't have time to focus my eyes even a lot! Agree. Dizzying.

HA! Should I check the old thread and catch up on all of the stuff I missed. I'm sure it's critical to my FULL enjoyment of the second half....*laughing*

I'll be watching the horrible conclusion! Despite the fact that this bomb idea still seems like about the worst idea I can think of.
The camera zoom-in zoom-out was making me nuts, and the little split-screen thing!

It's my late workin' night, and I missed part One in favor of AFHV and Extreme Home Fixin' :) and then dropped off just as Frodo was kvetching about a dirty great root.
Is the quake to be repeated? Is it on one of those channels that does repeat stuff to death, like they did with "Spartacus" and "The Mummy" and "Red October"?

What movie is this? I'm catching up on my Cubs game.

Bo Duke is so used to going in and out the windows of the General Lee that he forgot he has a sunroof option when he started getting buried alive in his Explorer. He couldn't get out the windows and almost bought the big one!

Despite the fact that this bomb idea still seems like about the worst idea I can think of. Sorry, that was the best I could come up with... and that actress stole it from me.
