Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well, I resisted a nine-post spam...

Sam; we know what you mean and agree; LSA got Gypsy a little troll like squeaky toy. Gypsy's eyes just light up when you squeak it and then toss it for her to fetch. Pure-delight.

Welll...guess you get an A minus for effort?

I'll settle for that! ;)
To: Corin Stormhands
Corin; it's a fine pastime, we enjoy it quite a bit. Perennials usually return year after year, multiply, and allow for sharing. Color mixing and matching of the seasons is a lot of fun as well.

Found the homepage for
Fruits Basket--okay, I kinda remember you mentioning the character who turns into a cat when you hug them :) Sounds like a creative series!
Meanwhile I'm using my multitasking skills to watch two TV shows at the same time :) In the Bermuda Triangle special, they're trying to find the wreck of the 5-plane "Flight 19" unit that went down in 1945 and started the Triangle's modern noteriety. I guess in the earthquake special the Space Needle has collapsed, but it's not the epicenter yet. . .

Sounds like a good thing for you two to have done for D-Day. I couldn't have come up with a better idea myself! I'm glad Rachel was there for you. :-)
I made queso today. That's been about it besides packing up the packages and watching the race. Slow dull day. And I loved it!!! :-D

Someone's HO-scale train model just bit the dust...

And thanks for ya'lls help!
I haven't got the motivation together to make it to WalMart to complete 2 more packages. *sigh* I'm enjoying the lazy day too much. Perhaps the other 2 packages will go out Wednesday instead of tomorrow.

Watching it now... 3 minutes in and it's already hilariously bad. Oh, the horror...!In the proud tradition of Earthquake, etc. :) But in this context bad is good, for that makes it MSTY-fiable. . . :)
To: Wneighbor
(note to self: peanut brittle for Rosie at the next entmoot!)That means I GOTTA come. ;-)
Ugh...just about bedtime here. I'm not ready for another week.

Rose; good choice on the 'Sharpe' series, we started watching it on PBS a few years ago, then I started reading the series, it's easy to picture the characters once you've seen the movies :-)
The Master & Commander series, I had read a few before the movie, and plan to read them all; I'm even starting to understand a bit more of the nautical-speak. re; the movie, I think they did a fairly good job on characters.
To: Fedora
No, no ...
Earthquake was a much better movie, with real characters you kinda cared about.
I was cheering for the Space Needle to crush the biker dude.
To: Fedora
Oh, I don't think it's even as good as "Earthquake"...!

I'm just doing walking for now, and crunches and push-ups a few times a week, which probably isn't even enough to bother, but...oh well.I'll add more as I have time and inclination, I guess!
That's how I usually do it :) My urge to work out comes in cycles, so I take advantage of the peak cycles and meanwhile during the lulls I just try to make sure I'm doing something. Walking is good! The crunches and push-ups will be beneficial as long as you do them regularly and at least maintain the same level; though of course they'll be more beneficial if you add progressively. I started off with 20 pushups at a time; then as I got used to that I went up to 30. . .etc.

GMTA!

Might as well funkle while I'm at it.Hey, good idea!--funkle! :)

Bo Duke's slutty "child" (that actress is 27 if she's a day) had too much collagen on the right side of her mouth ... looks like Elvis after getting hit in the mouth.
Of course her unattractive mamma is the Governor of California ... Mamma got the collagen treatments in exchange for some political favor ...
