Yeah - I told dad! Dad had a bad morning with our puking kitty, or he might have laughed louder!

U-Tote-'em

What's a U-Tote-Em Burger?

See post 646... picture a hole in the wall mom-n-pop roadside drive-in, in a small town off the highway in eastern WA. Where they still make shakes in stainless steel cups.

And for whatever reason, they make the burgers, but they don't tote 'em.

U-Tote-em...

I remember there being a U-Tote-em across the street from my house (kinda) when I was in primary school. Don't knowwhatever happened to it, but it hasn't been there in a long time. Seem to remember that it was some sort of convenience store.

Evening Hair, ecurbh. Thanks for leaving the note when you moved, the lantern hanging was a nice touch. Been hither, thither but didn't make to yon.

Good news on the job. Enjoyed your trip pics. The PNW country does have variety, all right. Cool digs at the college.

And he thinks he's constipated.

Hairballs.

Hullo M. Bowman! Welcome to yon!

I loved those weird houses. They both had odd features... mine had a 10X10 living room and a 25x25 kitchen. Sonya's had a bathroom that was a coverted hallway. 20 feet long and 4 feet wide. Go figure!

300wm; how bout that, glad to hear from the troops, sounds like the "retirement" is in name only, sounds like the HH knife will be good hands. Thanks for posting.

Evening everyone, seems kinda quiet here tonight, or maybe it just feels that way because I'm listening to Enya while I work.

What are you going to watch in the meantime until it arrives

I went to the bookstore instead. Read Volume 1 of "Lone Wolf and Cub" and volumes 1 and 2 of "Ranma 1/2". It was a nice time, other than my sibs accusing me of reading romance novels.

I think I will just veg until bedtime.

Hi Ruthy, was looking for you, but you're not usually around when I post.

Anyhow, I haven't been out to the range in a while, but would be glad to call you if I go. But there are others on the thread much more knowledgable about firearms than I, although I am a user of the things and enjoy 'em.

Evening Sam, Enya can do that all right, I have 'The Celts' cd that is currently in the truck (along with Fiddles and Forests). Saw about your painting, good luck on the show.

Enjoyed the post about the sweat lodge, hope the drums aren't part of the monthly ritual.

Okay, I looked at #646--took forever to download all the pics so that's why my reply took so long, LOL! Don't think I've ever seen those around here. We do have restaurants that try to emulate the old shake-in-a-steel-cup drive-in restaurant, though. A&W is one chain around here that does that--at least some of their locations do; and there's also a family-owned place that has a bunch of 50s-themed stuff.

I'm not sure... but I think that might be enough to drive me to madness...

Well... this one isn't a franchise. One of a kind. OK... maybe two. I think the same guy runs a couple of burger joints in Ellensburg.

Winmag, I would be tickled pink to get a package off to these guys this week if you can share the mailing info. Sounds like a great bunch.

Nielson wants us to be a part of their TV audience. LOL, they have no clue! We watch mostly PBS, other than that, for the most part, it's DVD's (Finding Nemo, Harry Potter, and LOTR) over and over and over.
