Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I thought the theory was extremely intriguing, and made sense.
At least it explains our longing to be on the water.

It's on IFilm.com now.
Here's the stuff said about it there now:
Don't Ask Don't Tell [2002]
See the trailer for this 1953 Sci-Fi flick redubbed with absurd new dialog, new inserted scenes and an alien dance number. WINNER - Best Feature - Boston Underground Film Festival. SOLD OUT at the Wisconsin Film Festival. "...clever and crude." - The Boston Globe "... a truly brilliant satire."
http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2434761 And a link to the page it's on.
I'm personally having some trouble getting it to play, it seems that it wants to use RealPlayer only.
And I keep getting an error message.

Those wrecks look particularly charming in the Caribbean colors, IMO.
Yeah, quiet around here...

Yeah, it's been WAY too quiet, but it's Friday.
And people will be stuck in traffic still in some places prior to getting home.

Maybe they're trying that "don't come a knockin' if you see this thing a rockin" scenario?

I like marine biology and diving, so that part of me found the theory intriguing :) But as I recall the symposium I read raised some points against the theory which sounded very telling. Unfortunately like I said I don't remember the title, but here's a page (maintained by the author's grandson) with some references to literature both pro and con:
Aquatic Ape Info
In any case, whether the theory's correct or not, the author raises some questions which are very interesting to think about. Pretty much anything to do with the ocean interests me, though :)
To: Darksheare
I've been trying to download that without luck. Too bad--looks funny :)

That thing has a single mid sized diesel, I be, an 871 or a 343, probably still in it, underwater.

It is funny!
I originally found it at Lycos videos, but it's no longer there, and atom films doesn't have it either.
Matter of fact, real player isn't working at all either.
*grr*
And realplayer's homepage won't come up.

Well Sam, that's an awefully pretty picture for trash littering the place. Granted, it may not look that nice in person... but the picture is lovely. :-)
