Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Still round the corner we may meet...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Darksheare, remember that MST3K "Coily" link I posted a couple weeks ago? :) Well, my brother passed it on to someone who turned it into this--something to add to the scary links being posted in the Hole yesterday :)

Coily Soundboard

Yeah, I remember it.
And the soundboard... TERROR INDUCER in those who remember those 'educational short films'...
*shudder*
LOL!
It's some good work, if you can pass the compliments on to the guy who did that!

I'm tempted to see if I can get him to soundboard some other educational films like that :)

Highway of Death and Dirty Susie have to be in there, just because.
The quotes are horrible, it was absolutely terrible voice acting.

Note to self: drinking a big cup of Sleepytime at work when already a little tired is NOT a good idea...

I'm drinking a diet Mountain Dew to counter the Sleepytime.

We'll see if that works...

Do the Dew! :) Just don't put any Pop Rocks in that, 'cause that might explode. . .

alas, no vids. Sorry. :(

The winds came up today and they shoo-ed us off the range- blowing sands, no visibility, and such. That and they needed to give the uxo guys a chance to finish cleaning up the place. ( = eeek!)

Oh man...been awhile since I had those.

And I think the last time was in chocolate...there was a brand that was selling for awhile, can't remember what the name was. Chocolate with pop rocks embedded in it...not something I woulda thought of.

I know!
(Sometimes I lose track of people and wander about for weeks through threads and such. And then my horrible typing kidnaps my keyboard to some far off unintelligable key-clicked mess..)

Oh, wow, I didn't even know they came in chocolate!

There was this one episode of The Simpsons where Homer was at a candy convention and was being chased by security because he had unwittingly eaten some rare Gummi Bears. To escape, he kicked a soda machine, grabbed a can of Mountain Dew that rolled out, stuck a can of Pop Rocks on top, shook it up, and tossed it like a grenade, causing a huge explosion :)
