Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I understand that after blowing that place to hell, and beating the samurai at their own game, our forces had to occupy Japan for 10 years before we could turn them loose. Something that the Iraqis have unfortunately missed out on. Our victory was so quick and humane that there was very little Iraqi loss of life. And no flattened cities. After 30 years of Saddam's brutality, the enemy thinks our victory is a sign that we're not really serious.
The enemy can't comprehend it, but we haven't started playing "Cowboys and Iraqis", yet.

I like that aspect of fighters when they are ours. But I wanted them strange and awesome looking, to help with the general feeling of dread.I like that aspect too Sam. I will be looking forward to seeing this! :-)

BWAAAHAHAHAHA!!!
The local news tonight is sponsored by B & M Storm Shelters! They specialize in above ground storm shelters guaranteed to withstand an F-5 tornado!
I saw Jarrell. I tend to doubt them.

One thing about tornadoes (is that how you spell the plural, or just Dan Quayle spells it that way?) is that if there ain't a cold front, there ain't tornados (thought I'd try it both ways, in hopes of getting it right at least once.

I am not sure which way it is Sam. But, I always spell it without the "e". You're right about the cold front. Both times we had a cold front. Got another one comin' through tomorrow and storms in the forecast. *sigh* Hope this doesn't give us more siren controversy! LOL

Oh, some people get positively giddy!
Rosie, you and DaBear and I are in the wrong business! We could charge $100 an hour and be seen as bargain-rate!
Better yet, we could charge $150 and cater to the exclusive types who have to brag about how much they paid their tech ...!

To: Bear_in_RoseBear
I wonder how many people really believe that there is any above ground structure that can withstand an F-5? I mean people like us who actually live in active tornadic areas.
