Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

SuziQ-I agree might as well. :-)
Morning, rain here and bit a of a breeze. Gardening is on back burner, sigh. The Blood Center called last week, so I'm heading into Town to donate.
Will also do a bit of mentoring to a dad/son making a bow for the first time.
Need to stop by the library, need books :-) I hear they got some.

Great news!. That should be batch number 3. I'll get another six knives out to you shortly, now that I have them in stock again. I'm still waiting on 100 more EMT scissors, so those will have to come in a later shipment.

'Morning! It's a bit drizzly so the trip to the arboretum is off. The place hasn't reached Critical Mess yet so there's no flylady rush. [sip] Just hanging out with the kitty.[sip]

It also helps that she gets to talk all she wants, all day long... Love it!!! Perfect for Rose! I would talk to her all day! :-)

Having a late breakfast with a good book to read sounds like more fun!
Gotta make coffee. See ya later!

Thank you for all your work with the troop packages! They look awesome! Thanks LF! I woke up this morning and remembered I had one more name of a soldier to send to. One of my old neighbors back home - he and his wife lived 2 houses down from me - is now in Iraq. Gotta get him a package together today. AND I need to get his name to Winmag for a knife when we have some more. I've been remiss in that, I've had his address for about 2 weeks and forgot him!

Good morning!
I've got to get the place straightened up. Got folks comin' for supper tonight. Makin' Mexican food. Taquitos and some other kind of tacos that you get in Mexican homes but not in any normal restaurant. Gotta run to WalMart too. Need fresh veggies.
Nice rainy day here! Good for being a homebody. Course, I seem to be a homebody on all days... but that's okay, I like it! :-)

I know about me! AND I CERTAINLY AM!
Funny thing about Talledega, besides Daytona it is the place I have always *most* wanted to attend a race. And now my daughter and S-I-L live only 30 miles from there. I'm kinda hopin' to get invited over for a race one of these days! :-)

Well, I've thought about it! :-)
But, you know the trouble I had with my daughter over the last year. I am trying to behave as best I can. Don't want to tick her off again.... although Tom is also a race fan and I KNOW he would love it!
Maybe next year things will be satisfactory with them and I can do that. :-D

Hmmmm....you could always just stay at a hotel (assuming you could find a room that weekend) call up and say you just happen to have tickets....

Heck, if I have to go to the expense of getting a hotel room, you might as well join us! :-)

I dunno! But, it would be a cool moot! Can we call this one speed-moot? :-)
I'm fixin' to run to WalMart to get the last of my groceries for supper for my guests. I will be back shortly.
