Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

seems his pretty outfit picked him up a pretty elf-lady! :-) It's those white hats, the insanely tight collar, and of course... the sword. Chicks dig swords.
They do seem to get the pick of the litter. :-)

G'nad; well, looks like you've fallen under the spell of the Ozarks. Turkey hunting is great sport and we are truly blessed with an abundant share. I guess you've learned their eye sight is awesome, blinking too fast gets 'em moving. A shotgun and a cob-slate scratcher with whole heap of skill and dollop of luck tossed in for good measure, pure dee fun. Enjoy yourself, compadre, you've earned it.

they're upset about the sloppy Japanese subtitles, which some times are exactly opposite of what's happening in the action/dialog.Translations can go o-so-wrong!

Actually.... the last one ain't bad! ;~D

Translations can go o-so-wrong!You ain't kidding--LOL! "I am warm hungry--all your base are belong to us!" ROFL!
To: HairOfTheDog
Actually.... the last one ain't bad! ;~DAs I'm trying to figure out how on earth they came up with that last one I concluded that someone misinterpreted Gimli's pronunciation of "axe" and it went downhill from there. . .
To: Fedora
They're funny.... There's about a hundred of them that we grabbed from a site that had them all posted.
Some of them are just gibberish... Arwen to Aragorn: "You are the senator to their, not the senator himself" and Frodo to Gollum: "Release him or I will cut you off root" you have to wonder if the movie made any sense at all.

I want the actual DVD with the whole movie on it, not just the "best of" scenes. Probably a red chinese bootleg available all over the world, but not here.

I was wondering, are Japanese superheroes like US ones? You know, I haven't delved too deeply into manga or anime, but I don't think they have the concept of "superhero" like U.S. comics do. They have super-powered beings (usually aliens or mystically-based) but that superpower isn't the focus of the character, as it is in U.S. superhero comics.
I don't know that I know enough to discuss this intellegently! :)

Paint him gold and he'd look just like an Oscar statue.

I would love to see it too! Have you looked? Maybe ecurbh'll snif around!

we're all know-it-alls who like to show off what we know.It also helps that she gets to talk all she wants, all day long...
