I saw that version only once, but I remember clearly the door to HAL's innards was marked "core storage array". I remarked to Marl that I found it highly unlikely that they would be using core for memory 33 years in the future. She didn't know what I was talking about then, and she still denies knowledge of that subject to this day."Cold memory"--I'll have to remember that works. . . :)

So....it was the kids, wasn't it? Best I can figger. They had definitely been pulled up, not just knocked over.
Pi$$e$ me off, but there ain't much to be done about it. I'll never prove it was them and I'd never get the four year olds to make a connection as to what they done.
I have now, however, zoned the yard. And if they be in certain zones, they'll be switchin'...

"How do I make this work without Media Player, then?"LOL! This sounds like the tech support version of that old restaurant skit:
"Can I take your order, sir?"
"Yes--I'd like an orange juice and a sweetroll."
"Sorry, sir; we don't have a sweetroll."
"Hmmm--okay, how about a coffee and a sweetroll?"
"We don't have a sweetroll."
"Then could I get a glass of milk and a sweetroll?"
"WE DON'T HAVE A SWEETROLL."
"Okay--well, I guess I'll just have a sweetroll then. . ."

See above. It had to be the kids.

Thanks! I'm downloading it now--trying to decipher the English translation. . . :) BTW I'm about to have supper, so I'll probably download while I'm eating and comment when I get back. Talk to you more soon!

You are such a good support person. I'd be fired the first day. I'm bad enough helping out coworkers and siblings!

Our most notorious customer was a Mr. Han... an Asian guy who could barely speak English, which was a big part of the problem. And he was a Mac user... another part of the problem. He was trying to get a hugh, complex MIDI system to work with our software (a music notation program). I was trying to get him to tell me if his device was listed in
italics under his setup menu.
He had a great deal of problem with that concept, and no matter how I tried to explain what italics looked like, he just couldn't grasp it. We spent the better part of thirty minutes on that alone.
"No, italics! Kind of slanted... looks different from the rest of the text. No! Don't click OK yet! (sigh) OK, go back into your setup menu again..."
On one day, he spent nearly 6 hours total on the line with three different support people (he kept calling back).
It got to the point where our manager called him and set a 30-minute time limit for one call only per day. I think he finally hired someone to come to his house and do the setup in person.

I have a weak spot for anime openers. I try to have the opening for all my series. I'd love to get some of the soundtracks, but they're sooo expensive - most of them have to be imported - and you can't always tell if it's the real thing or if the songs have been translated.
This one's catchy, though the first fifteen seconds are a "huh? what's this?"
And it's even cooler when accompanied with the images. RK, like Escaflowne, is one anime where I always watch the opening. Well, for the first season RK opening - the second opening is boring.

contrary to popular belief, 4 yr olds are *not* all angels, and are able to know and understand when they have done something bad or wrong. (I have known some pretty evil and manipulative 4 yr olds!)
Soemthing that might work is a simple questioning of each without the threat of getting into trouble. That way, you at least will have a better picture of what *really* happened. Better do it quickly though because their short term memory is not very reliable after 24 hours :-)
Let me know how it goes if you decide to try to get to the botom of whodunnit.

Better do it quickly though because their short term memory is not very reliable after 24 hours. That's the problem. This was last Saturday. The six year old might remember, but I suspect it was his younger brother.

Sheesh! a 3 yr old boy was shot and killed in his home today in Cedar Hill with a pistol. Police *think* it may have been his 13 yr old brother. They do know that it was the older brother who called 911. (Only other person home at the time was granny).
