Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Still round the corner we may meet...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

ARGH!!! I just had a 1" spider with a WEB crawling around on my leg!! I kept trying to smack it and it kept crawling into the leg of my shorts! I stood up and it fell out but then crawled up it's web back into my shorts leg! I shook my shorts leg and it came out, then started to go back up but I whacked it into paste.

I'm still shuddering.

Good morning!

Good morning!

The good news: I got the call I was waiting for (for a reconstruction job in Iraq).

The bad news (well, not REALLY bad): Now I wait for another call.

The next Big Thing to happen would be a trip to Houson for a couple of weeks of health, personality etc. testing. So I'm on a health kick all of a sudden and trying to figure out how sane people behave :)

God Willing, only. Kyrie eleison.

Hey, it's the standard treatment for anything in my shorts uninvited! LOL

Seriesly, I think it bit me! I have an itchy spot on my leg just over my knee.

Could be my imagination, though...shudder shudder...

shudder shudder shudder....

Spiders are the only thing on this earth that I'm really scared of...well, that and driving over bridges.

Nope, it bit me...I have TWO mosquito-like bites on my leg. My rational mind tells me to just rub some hydrocortisone on it...

But I swear, I'm about to faint! I'm all cold around my lips!

l'araignée jaune?

I know the word must have something to do with jaundice, but I can't figure out the rest!

I was just telling Steve last night...the last thing I said, with eyes closed and head on pillow...

"I don't want any drama in my life...the more mundane my life, the happier I am."

Then this happens first thing in the morning...

sigh...it's just not meant to be.

Ah, I'm all right. My lips didn't go cold till I saw the bites, a pure psychological response, I hate to admit.

I hate psychology! LOL

Poor spider! What did you expect the poor thing to do? :)

You don't know if it was a poisonous spider, do you?

It's French for "the yellow spider."

Don't be impressed, I used Babelfish.
