Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Sounds like that might be fun. I liked the X-Men/Teen Titans crossover they did once; I think Perez might've drawn that, also.
I'd agree Captain America would win that one under most circumstances. Their martial arts training is about equal as they both come from a predominantly Jujitsu background (at least in their original versions), but Cap has super-strength so that would unbalance it in his favor, plus his shield gives him a huge defensive and offensive advantage. I think Batman's main advantage would be his high-tech weapons, if he could manage to pull out something while still at a safe distance. He might try zapping Cap with a stun-gun, but I think Cap's shield is a non-conductor so that might not work. Maybe a gas weapon. Otherwise I'd say Cap wins that one.

The flowers are nearly done. We need centers in the orange and blue ones. Stems will complete the task. Good thing too. Msdrby started bringing the consumable type of baby supplies home the other day.

The vast array of "petals" and centers used for all of the flowers. We're thinking of using the same technique to put stars and planets in elf-boy's room.

This evening, before the sun set, we were out in the garden repainting the white picket fence that separates it from the back yard proper. The canine observer got a little close in her zeal to find mistakes.

I liked the X-Men/Teen Titans crossover they did once; I think Perez might've drawn that, also.I had to Google it up; story by Chris Claremont, art by Walt Simonson. It is a classic, though!
Their martial arts training is about equal as they both come from a predominantly Jujitsu background (at least in their original versions), but Cap has super-strength so that would unbalance it in his favor
Old martial arts maxim: if skills are equal, then the fight will go to the fighter who has the greater physical strength. So I agree, Cap would most likely win.
