Apparently that was just a local gravitational disturbance. It happens. ~eyes rolling~
I'm glad you've gotten the source of that problem located sugar. :-)
Perhaps you can straighten out those gravitational difficulties tomorrow since the PHX phone people are finally falling under you authority! LOL
No, really, I know you've been frustrated with that phone situation in Phoenix for some time so that *is* good news!
No comment on what it takes to make you happy. 3000 feet of fiber huh? I'd thought maybe something else.

Oh dear. They put off interviews huh? Didn't see the wisdom in just going ahead and hiring someone who already interviewed huh?
Somehow, I suspect you have knocked on the right door to find someone willing to take the two of you out drinking though! :-)

Well, my interview wasn't complete... The Pres and CFO were supposed to be there, and had to cancel at the last minute, so the Human Resources person filled in and interviewed me mostly so I wouldn't feel like I was stood up. I was gonna have to go back anyway to meet with the real people... but now they are too busy.

That's odd. People that are traveling can still make decisions, from what I've seen.

You know, sewing is one of my dearest hobbies. I have cases and cases of fabric in my den. That's a lot of fiber! You need to come check out my fiber baby!

If your fiber can do 45Mbps and you've got about a mile of it... I'm interested... :-)

I am in hell... tonight after 7 weeks of teaching basic CADD I have still had to go over how to calculate a diameter when given a radius and how to calculate a radius when given a diameter with one student over 1/2 dozen times!
The last 2 times were within a 60 second interval. First we did radius to diameter, I hadn't been back to my desk for 15 seconds and we had to re-re-re-review diameter to radius!
I am convinced this guy has waste matter for brains!

Did my run, day two of week forever. I felt pretty good while doing it, too. Maybe this will be the week I finally get past that horrible long run. And maybe not.
Sob. My little car is going away for a couple days to get a new bumper. I am at the mercy of other drivers until then.

Good grief, I learned that in 6th grade. How could you possibly - I mean, it's just twice the radius or half the diameter - what on earth is so hard about that?

I think I just had a Hallmark moment. LOL
It was almost like a real Hallmark ad!
A student I went out of the way to help, a young veteran who is working full time and supporting a child, brought me a belated birthday card. One of those "thank you for what you've done for me" things!
Wow, I don't usually get sappy over stuff like that but this one got me!

I only worry about my XP box though since no one seems to write viri for OSX. I meant to get back to you about this...
Some day soon... Mac users are going to be taken to the cleaners by an internet worm.
Please don't get me wrong... I'm a Mac Head from WAY back. The first computer I bought for myself was one of the old original Macs. I even still have a Powerbook around here somewhere... and I like Macs, and I like PC's and I like linux and I... ok... I don't like VMS very much. Except for that I simply have no personal bias.
but I'm concerned that Mac users, many of whom admittedly don't know spit from shinola about computers, have been given this false sense of security. Someday, somebody is gonna write a worm that exploits some of the many *thousands* of vulnerabilities in BSD Unix... and they're just gonna clean house.
One of the things that's gonna make it really hard to fix is that none of these machines will have any effective firewalls or antivirus capability. It'll spread like wildfire.
That's gonna be an interesting day.

I attempted the long run. Basically did it, too! But the phone rang at about the midway point, and though it didn't end up being one I had to take, it did mean I got off the treadmill for about a minute. Not much of a break, though, really. So I pretty much did it, I guess!
I'll try doing it again on Saturday and see how that goes. If I'm able to handle it, I may actually move on to the next week. Whoa.
