So, offer free root canals all around, but charge for the novocaine. Once they can't talk properly, you'll be safe.

Besides, most trolls are liberal, right?

Maybe I'll just go in and say "Mind if I raise the blinds?"

(later)

Have fun... don't actually kill any of them, it'll make a mess for someone to clean up.

The speed with which he does that is disturbing in the extreme.

I'm half considering attempting a run (well...slow jog) OUTSIDE. *gasp*

If I can find suitable clothing, that is. Ain't no way I'm going out there in shorts until it's about twenty degrees warmer and I'm about twenty pounds lighter.

That's not the only disturbing thing about it. Let's chat aimlessly for a few dozen posts and get a new page, shall we?

I would try that if there were anywhere even sort of flat around here. Plus, our road looks like a moonscape. Potholes everywhere. I'd break an ankle.

"My" road isn't altogether flat...but it's flat for Vermont. Not that that's saying much. At least it turns to gravel after a short way...I'd think that would be slightly easier on the knees?

I'll probably chicken out and just walk...but I'm not ruling out EVER running outside.

I'm trying to decide whether to run/walk/bike outside tonight (which would require going down to the bike path) or to lift tonight and cardio tomorrow.

But it's a great dilemma to have!

My bike needs a major tune-up. I'm going to get back into path riding this spring, but I haven't ridden in...well...quite a long time.

Poor little bike!

Re: walking vs. running...I gotta wonder how much of a difference there really is between walking vey fast (which I do well) and running verrrry slowly (which I do badly) as far as calories consumed goes. I've heard that you burn the same number of calories more or less for a given distance, whether you walk it or run it, i.e. running three miles (in, say, 30 min.) burns the same calories as walking three miles (which would be more like forty five minutues, I think, if you speed walk it). Considering how much less painful it is to walk...well, it's hard to pick.

I'm thinking of getting a pedometer to measure how far I'm really going. Gadgets are kewl, don't ya know.

Gadgets rock. I would say, do whatever makes you feel better. Exercise can be fun, or miserable. So... make it fun.

Wow, it's 70 degrees here. We have the door open, and the little fridge is outside defrosting. I want ice cream.

You need to change climates. I am in short sleeves here... a lovely breeze blowing in...

I actually LIKED the German climate...was one of the few that did. I wouldn't have minded a little more sun, but an average summer temperature of about seventy and twenties in the winter was nice. We didn't get much swimming weather, and we DID have more ice storms than I'd like, but other than that it was nice. Could hike and bike most of the year...and we did.

Gadgets rock.

I hadn't found a reason to post this yet... but this is a picture I took last weekend of gadgetry at it's silliest. This is an electric cheese slicer Dad and Dona were just tickled about.... Necessary for a deli to own... but keep in mind, we needed four slices of cheese for burgers.

It took them about ten minutes just to set it up.

I'm just sayin' is all...

That is silly!

My gadgets resent your implications, though.

Not all gadgets are an evil!

We have a neighbor who has one of those vacuum sealer things. He uses it for EVERYTHING...he even managed to figure out how to seal SOUP in bags with the thing.

He invited people over after the Christmas he got it, just to show it off. LOL!
