Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Gotta get up early to take elf-boy for wrist surgery. When in doubt, cut it off... That's what I say...
No, but really... prayers for elf-boy. What sort of surgery?

I like that patch :)
To: Professional Engineer
I will pray about the surgery, too.
To: Ramius
Um. PE is not answering you about elf-boy so I will. He has a knot on his wrist (IIRC) I looked at it when we mooted in February, shows how long I remember things. A ganglion I think they called it. Doc said it needed to be removed. So, you're right they're cuttin' it off.

Hullo! I am back from the 14th century. Dialup is SOOOOO wrong...(sorry if'n it's all you got)
Found out that my cousin's son is in Iraq. Didn't know. Only time I see the cousin these days is at funerals. And his parents and my mom and step dad are the only ones left My dad had 8 brothers and sisters, but there's a lot fewer funerals these days...
Anyway, alls I know is that he's in the Army and he shipped out of Texas. I'm tryin' to find out more. His first name is Josh.

Even if we don't get an address, he's got more prayers now. :-)

Just wanted to give everyone the latest. One soldier was killed in the attack. Two remain missing. Of the wounded my friend Matt has lost one eye, but is doing fine. Another friend of mine Shawn is on his way to walter reed right now. Shawn took shrapnel in his legs and cannot walk at this time. He is expected to regain use of his legs though. Jarob Walsh has had several toes amputated and is doing well. As for the remaining wounded I dont have specifics on their condition. We have been told that they are doing well and all are on their way to Walter Reed. This is the latest. Things seem to be calming down here and mail is flowing again. Thank you everyone for your support.
