Who Is Brad Owens?
"How Out of Touch Can This President Be?
The Richmond County Republican Party has cast out one of its candidates for the state House.
The party's executive committee voted to "disassociate itself" from House District 115 candidate Bradley Owens because of his 1992 association with then-presidential candidate David Duke, the former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

You know it's a slow news day when......
Fox comes back from break with...
"You're looking live at a podium in Madison, Wisconsin where a press conference is scheduled 45 minutes from now".

The New Republic thinks "The O'Franken Factor" won't succeed because...are you ready for this?....Al Franken is too MODERATE!
LOL!
"While his prose tends to be fiery, his verbal style is not."
"Then there are Franken's politics. Just like talk radio favors extreme personalities, it also favors extreme politics. ... Consider yesterday's show, for instance, when a caller gave voice to a couple of conspiracy theories that hold that the Bush administration had advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks. Bob Kerrey, who was on the show at that point, convincingly batted down the conspiracy theories, and that seemed that. But Franken circled back to the caller's theories to reiterate that he thought they were bunk. ...Most talk radio shows actively promote conspiracy theories; Franken's seeks to quash them. [Translation: Rush only succeeds because he feeds his listeners conspriracy theories!]
It's really wierd watching this large segment of the donkey party become what the "militia" and "KKK" were to Republican politics in the 80's and 90's.

We definitely need a new term for "doctors" like this:
The doctor who got the U.S. Supreme Court to strike down Nebraska's ban on a controversial abortion procedure testified Thursday that [the federal partial birth abortion ban] is so vague it would outlaw nearly all abortions after the first trimester.... Carhart said at least once a month, an entire fetus is expelled from the mother during a D&E he is performing. "The fetuses are alive at the time of delivery," he said. There is a heartbeat "very frequently". [But not for long.]
Maybe we could call them "executioners".

[the federal partial birth abortion ban] is so vague it would outlaw nearly all abortions after the first trimester.... And that's a bad thing?

Are y'all aware there's a firestorm in "weblog world" over the mystery of Kerry's flower power zipper pull?! Bloggers are having a blast trying to solve it...it's NOT a lift pass.

An Instapundit reader appears to have solved the mystery: He points the way to a key chain featured at THIS site for corporate promotional items.

Still no explanation for why he was wearing it.

I heard part of the Strom gag (gag) yesterday, I guess it's funny to those wackos who think GWB had advanced knowledge of 9/11.
How about the video of O'Franken on their debut that showed O'Franken reading from a script? The result over the radio was really, really bad.
I am around today, just busy cooking and putting John Effin Kerry pics on HLL's Shutterfly. I came across these two I wish I had posted yesterday, April Fools day.

McAwful: "Hillary demands you tap her for VP."

April Fool!
Oh yeah, O'Franken a moderate? LOL!!

Still no explanation for why he was wearing it. I didn't know there was such a firestorm raging, I have to surf the web more.
Explanation as to why a daisy zipper pull? Don't know, but 'Effin is going to get to know daisies intimately as in 'pushing up daisies' because of the good economic news today. heh heh!

Good grief no. HLL had to talk me through 'save as' and then how to put them on her site. (Yes, it's embarrassing and I've waited too long to ask my son to teach me photoshop, now he'll probably charge me money.)
Mae - Looking through the old Guild threads I came across this picture (it's the rear view pic of the Super Bowl streaker) (you had commented on it) and I had a fabulous idea.
Who can we pay to streak through the next big event with 'VOTE FOR KERRY' printed on his back? :-)

What time should we come for dinner?
To: mountaineer; Hillary's Lovely Legs
Stop teasing me, I would so love to have all of you over for dinner.
Which reminds me, maybe we should start thinking about getting together for GWB's inaugural in DC. I'll start saving money (thank goodness the dog has run out of legs to break) and come hell or high water I will be there! Now what to wear....

We went to the inauguration in 2001, but haven't even considered the prospect of going again. If we do, I sure hope the weather's better this time.
To: mountaineer
That was some nasty weather!
A photoshop of Kerry giving Teresa a push.

Hehehe!

Mmmmmmppphhhhhhhunnhh! Whew! Hey, Teresa, I think that All-Bran's starting to work.

Herman and Lily entertain former Treasury Secretary Bob Rubin at their Boston home, while Herman tries to show off in a manly fashion how unaffected he is by his recent shoulder surgery.
