I got a chance to catch Gargoyles. I like it! If I was to compare it to Batman: the Animated Series, I'd say I like Gargoyles better. It reminded me of many animated shows of the time like Batman, X-Men, Spider-Man but it manages to have its own flavor, which is quite a remarkable feat. The episodes feel like a part of a whole and they make you want to stick around to find out more. Being a Star Trek fan, it was fun to pick out the Trek voices.
It amazes me that Disney came out with this. But then again the eighties/nineties felt like the golden age of tv animation, with X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Animaniacs, etc. Now it's mostly dubbed anime that's on tv, nothing against that, but American companies don't dominate like they used to. Oh yeah, and now guns must be painted out of cartoons (I heard they deleted a scene from Ducktales involving Scrooge firing a gun). Anyway, thank goodness for reruns and DVD.

I am glad you feel this way. Gargoyles is considered by most to be the best animated series Disney ever produced. I also like that fact that they never get preachy when they have a meessage to say.
And don't forget to catch the episodes that come on today at 11:00 AM to Noon Eastern on ABC Family.
If you want a more in depth discussion of the epiosdes to Gargoyles good here: http://forums.toonzone.net/forumdisplay.php?f=107
And finally, what would your opinion on the ending of the episode 'The Mirror' that was on yesterday?
