Whose Movies can I watch as I grow Old

As it’s Saturday and I hade to run uptown to grab some smokes and beer, I had my radio on, and what during the week would have been Hannity, there was a Talk Show on out of somewhere dealing with Movies, and character actor’s. It suddenly dawned to me that I don’t have many movies I go to see anymore, because the actor’s by means of their political, blatant left wing statements have caused me to shun their pictures.

I’m not detracting from their talent as actors and actresses, God forbid, they would mine as a communications technician, but sometimes people have to learn when to shut up. I just can’t allow my callous mind to take my hard earned money, and line the pockets of those that spew hatred to my country, or my President. I do believe in America, I do believe in Our Constitution, and I do believe in the people that live here. I do also fear that driven by the wind of hatred, and cast on the airwaves and through cable technology, these words from these leftist individual’s contaminate and consume the minds of our youth.

When I was a kid, I don’t think I ever heard John Wayne call Eisenhower a failure. I can’t recall Randolph Scott going to South East Asia to hunt for Communist Oppression. As I raised my son’s, I can’t recall hearing Chuck Norris vilify Ted Nugent for being a member of the NRA. Where are the heroes that kids look up to now? Have we sank so deep into depravity as a culture that we let them regal hipsters and Rap Artists as something worthy of looking up to?

These things worry me about our culture as I grow in age. Who do our children look up to, what message is sent when actor’s, people making extraordinary salaries, speak out unopposed and use the media to blind our future. Our future as free American’s rides on the shoulders of the young we today. They are a more in tune culture because of the media that I as a 51-year-old Georgia boy was. The dark side is calling them, and I can’t find a way to help.

As I sat eating lunch at a local restaurant yesterday, I overheard two young black guy’s talking about something Jesse Jackson had been purported to say recently and I cringed. Having been a member of the civil Right’s movement of the 60’s and a believer in equal rights to all under the Constitution, I could not believe the things they spoke of. I realized that they look at him and Al Sharpton, Charles Rangle as outspoken black leaders and think their words are the way to the future. These kids don’t realize that what they hear is the left keeping their minds prisoner, and our culture of Media worshipers along with poor parenting is making this country move towards Socialism.

Someone tell me how I can help, someone show me a way to aid the ones that are being indoctrinated into the socialist values this Nation is adopting. I’m just a poor old white trash boy from Georgia, that knows you can be what you want here in America, but you have to work for it. I know I got off the track a bit, but I have never really spoken out my true feelings here. What can I do to help America?

That must have been Max whatever her name is and her light in the loafers cohost. They both talk through their noses and Max is so loud and stupid sounding she is painful. I jsut called my local station to beg them to remove them from the lineup. If I wanted to listen to NPR I would have changed the station to NPR.

In case your tongue is not planted firmly in your cheek here, I would suggest that you begin by treating yourself with the dignity which you obviously deserve. Please note, I use the word dignity--not to be confused with pride.

Do the best you can to live a moral life. Set an example for the younger generation. I think its perfectly normal to have the concerns you do. I'm sure most of us here share your concerns. Just don't let that concern turn into a sense of hopelessness. Don't ever believe for one second that you can't make a difference because you can, just by being a good person and a good citizen.
