Hi Gran, Hi Mae -
It's hotter than heck here today - it stopped raining so I went out and pruned the rose bushes and clematis and cleaned out the dead stuff from winter. The lavender bush is budding out and trees look like they are thinking of leafing out. I'd almost forgotten what spring looked like. Now watch it turn around and snow.

I was out and about with meetings most of the day. So I didn't get any gardening done.
There's a bit of uneasiness in our family. Our DIL is due with their 3rd child in May. She's been having contractions and had to go to the hospital last night for some IV treatment to get the contractions to stop.
I haven't heard from them, so I'm assuming everything is fine. Light a candle for them, okay?
We've been to Mass and are heading back to town to attend the 50th birthday party of a friend. I'd rather stay home. I'm coming down with a nasty cold,,, at first I thought it was allergies, but I've resigned myself to the fact it's a cold. I need rest. We'll be home early.

I'd almost forgotten what spring looked like. Now watch it turn around and snow. That's what I fear. Today will be spectacular, so Mr. M and I are planning a long hike in the country. Tomorrow and the next few days - cooler and wet. Oh well.
