He cleaned up most of it, and the vaccuum did the rest. Godo thing it was such a nice day, and the wet sand dried up fairly quickly. If not, we would have had muddy sand in the carpet, and that would have been much worse.
Today's research was on PE's family. I did make some headway, but not as much as I would have liked. Unfortunately, I think my next step for his family will be going to the National Archives (it is in Fort Worth, and I can't take elf-boy with me - he is too young, i.e. not allowed)
Just about all my lines go back to the 1700's and some go further. The ones that don't are one on my mother's side and one on PE's side. There are many verifications that need to be made on all sides though.

The genealogy research sounds pretty involved if you have to go all the way to the National Archives! Are you tracing it just in the US or does it involve records of immigration, too?
