Look at the bright side. If it is taking God this long to prepare the one just for you he must be taking extra care to mold him just right :)

*sigh*

I hope so.

I pray for him daily, if he exists, and if he doesn't, I just ask that God use my prayers for someone that particularly needs 'em. But lately I'm starting to add "and also bring us together SOON!" I know He knows best...but patience isn't my strong suit.

How 'bout if I cross The Fellowship and The Young Ones? Naw, it's been done....

Hmmm--it's a line of thought, though--maybe you could try crossing the Fellowship and the Old Ones:

Oookayyy...

Some of those are truly scary. "Don't protrude the tartness and keenness out the staircase"???

I'm not sure I WANT to know what they really meant.

*Sniff* My house is on the market.

Should we pray for a quick sale, or not?

I agree. PE was amazed when we went to my mother's family reunion last year. It never occured to me that this was out of ordinary, but he had never seen any family do this before.

I've never had second cousins either.

It just irks me to no end when people don't respect their roots. Who cares that your greatgrandfather was a bootlegger? LOL!

Heh heh heh, ole Vern had to run to Canada to escape Elliot Ness and the boys.

Heh, I have a first printing of that.

Me, too--on the same tape as Pod People--a film which has nothing to do with pods, and nothing to do with people. . .

Someone needs to start a singles site tailored for homeschool grads. Of course if someone did it would probably only have courtship settings. All the private messages would be routed to the parents.

Nah...not all homeschool grads are like that.

Those that are...don't have on-line access anyway, for the most part. ;-) And yes, I do know some people like that! One of my dearest friends, who just got married last summer, comes from a family where they expect boys to have a long talk with Dad before even getting to know the girls...and don't really do any "dating".

Mr. B Natural! I love that one!

That was one of the best ones, IMO--right up there with Manos: The Hand of Fate. Also classic was the time Mike Nelson as Jack Perkins hit on Mr. B:

TURKEY DAY BUMPERS 1992-1995

The final set of Turkey Day bumpers is from 1995, and these are made by BBI again as they feature Dr. F having to deal with some thanksgiving guests that Frank invited before leaving, as well as a visit from his mother Pearl. These are pretty funny bumpers, almost like a sequel to the great ones from 1991, and are highlighted by a hilariously drunk Jack Perkins hitting on Mr. B Natural. The last of these 1995 bumpers are the familiar Turkey Day special host segments for episode 701 - Night of the Blood Beast, but it’s really better to see all of the bumpers together, instead of just the last few that come with the Turkey Day version of that particular episode.

which has been followed up by:

The Return Of Mr. B Natural. . .

Mr. B Natural stared at Dr. Forrester. "What is evil about the spirit of music?" it asked.

I use to know some like that. Actually the courtship fad was just picking up speed back when I graduated from home. Which was a few years ago so I don't know what the trend is now. Good point about the net access... drat, there goes my million dollar idea.

Well...to be honest I can see a lot of value in something along the lines of courtship, but slightly less strict. I mean...there are a lot of people who get into really heavy duty dating without any intention of ever getting married. I don't really agree with that. If and when I date again...I think it should be someone that I at least see as a POTENTIAL marriage partner. Otherwise...what's the point?

Though...I know that's not a very popular opinion these days.
