You said you are German. I wanted to know if by that you really meant your parents or grandparent were, or that you were born there but now are naturalized. Or if you are actually German, not American.

Yes I'm German
I'm living here since 1996
We planned to stay 2 years
We started to love the STATES
We applied for the "Green Card"
We got the "Green Card" in Jan 2004
Now we are waiting 5 Years to apply for citizenship.
In between we paid more than 40 Mill.$ taxes.
We think, we are good future Members of this society.
