MEL Gibson isn't going to make it easy for critics of his controversial movie "The Passion of the Christ." The flick won't be screened for reviewers until just two days before its Ash Wednesday opening on Feb. 25, Post Movie Critic Lou Lumenick reports. Reps for the picture blamed the last-minute screening - usually reserved for such bombs as the Jennifer Lopez-Ben Affleck starrer "Gigli" - on its not being ready. "Passion" has been under attack over fears that it will fan anti- Semitism. Gibson has screened it for Christian conservatives - as well as at Internet movie gossip Harry Knowles' Butt-Numb-a-Thon film festival - but not for professional reviewers. Gibson, who claims his story comes straight from the Gospels, turned down a "courage" award from the Broadcast Film Critics Association, who insisted on seeing his flick first. It's widely believed he spurned an invitation from the Sundance Festival rather than subject "Passion" to the media elite prematurely.

Someone who actually agrees with me.
Wow, someone who agrees with me.
I've been flamed and whatever but remain still in the Lord. I've spent 2 hours replying to the flamers and the kind debating kind.
Was is it that you agree with me on? I see the Roman Cathlolics as a religion but not Christianity. There are Christians in the RC's but the RC religion is mostly pagan.
Did you ever hear the pope quote scripture?
Oh, heck, I'm preahing to the choir.
Thank you mate,
Jeff (Ain't British but I do like the Beatles).

No worries. If they turn out to not come true we get to stone the prophets to death.
Can I give you the first stone?
It's taken so long to take on the flamers I must reply to the non-flamers. Thank you pard.

I just don't think it did so in the way you intended it to.
Can you explain this to me?

Sounds pretty easy to tell what spirit you are of . . . Samaritan Opposition
Nope. Bible standards for a prophet. If they miss, they're not of God. Period.

MacKenzie Phillips was the one in all the trouble. Having John Phillips for a dad probably had something to do with it.

Young Gore, who goes to Harvard, will also undergo 12 weeks of urine testingI'm impressed! The longest I can go is 15-20 seconds, max.

Perhaps if you reread the OT, you'd observe that even God did not apply that standard as strictly as you seem to.

Hi Jeff, come on, mate. This isn't the time, nor the thread, to kick off debate over Catholicism. In this one, we're on the same side, and "them's fightin' words".
You'll be kicking off a whole other flame war with that comment.

Certainly the Jewish leaders conspired to have Jesus killed. They took Jesus to Pilate and Pilate had the Romans perform the execution even though he found no fault to aviod a riot.
Nowhere have I seen in the Scriptures that God places the blame on mankind for killing Christ.
This is basically the book of Romans. The only way for sinners to be saved is through the sacrafice of atonement of Christ. We all are sinners therefore we all are the reason Christ had to die. Romans 3 pretty much sums it up.

It was very stupid on my part to have said that and I apoligize to all the Roman Catholics here and ask for forgiveness for it.

Maybe . . .
when I can make it a sufficient priority. It's not an easy thing to track down. I seem to have misplaced the book with the refs.
But I did check it out . . . several years ago. It is true.

It's not an easy thing to track down I'll bet.

Merely because I can't find Rick Joyner's book with the references in it
and I can't think of any key words that reduce the search to reasonable time limits.
When I emphatically insist that something is in The Bible, it's there.
I'm not exactly ignorant on that score.
