OK... knowing he's a good southern boy christian makes him slightly less creepy. He still doesn't strike me as the sort that I'd wanna go fishin' with. At least not for very long.
I'll also admit that I've never heard him sing. I just can't do that show. I've tried... and I can't make it past the first commercial break without running back to the history channel. :-)

he's a Christian?... Actually, he and Ruben Studdard (the guy that actually "won") did the deliciously un-PC thing of singing "Jesus Is Lord" at the Billboard Music Awards, despite Jimmy Kimmel's request that "nobody bother to thank God around here. If He has a TV, He won't be watching anyway."
