In fact, more to the point: Back then on an Alaska Air flight they didn't warn you about not carrying guns. They simply asked "How many guns do you have and where are they?"

When was the first hijacking, anyway?--early 70s or so? Hard to imagine now that at one time there was no such thing to worry about.
