To tempt you further: do you remember the Tavern, at 12th and Lamar? They almost closed it down a few months back, before Bob Cole (on the air with Sammy Allred for some 14-15 years now, and the owner of Hill's) bought it with a partner and remodeled it. Check out the menu.

Yep! I sure do. My first job in Austin was a block from there. Where 11th street deadends at the creek right there at Lamar. :-)
