You're a sensible person. Unfortunately, not everyone is.

I used to lurk at some pretty strange places online in the 90s... I read more than a few messages and articles from people who were hoping for the system to crash. Some of them were conservative, some liberal, some I-don't-know-what. Every political philosophy attracts extremists of one sort or another, and more than a few of those extremists think "the system" is broken, and the only way to fix it is to wipe it away and start fresh.

I'm not one of them, but I like reading different opinions.

I like reading those opinions too. Living way out in the middle of nowhere many of my neighbors had interesting thoughts. Prolly not acceptable in the mainstream but still good neighbors if you were a hard-working trustworthy sort. I still can't figure why they want so much for the system to end.... I mean, I hear the rhetoric, but that's it. Many of them I think just want to be left alone and feel too much outside invasion into their lives. That I can comprehend.

Frankly, I miss having that kind of neighbors. Sure they have strange ideas. But, not any worse than the people in this city. And they were reliable. If they told ya something, you could take it to the bank. But, ya weren't always gonna like what they said. However, they never would have opened up to anyone who hadn't gained trust either.
