Arrgghh..I remember the rain and the cold in Saudi in the middle of a desert. We had to dig a moat around our tent so the water won't come into the tent, it was that bad.

..and the cold, especially at night. Had to get that fuel stove on all night...

I do too... cold and wet really blows... no rain gear, no cold weather gear... we got in theater in Aug, so no one packed any... the REMFS had all the gear... we requested warm gear, but it never showed up...

Had to get that fuel stove on all night...

you had stoves?!?!... @#$%$!^&$%*@#!!! mustah been nice...

As far as I can remember the Army has never made a "Dry" tent. We took ours right out of the crate and put them up. It looked like a planetarium inside there, with all the holes in the roof.
