What is it with so many elderly women??? Why do they have to be so insufferable!?? I know not all are, but heavens, it seems like I get my undo share of encounters with those that are!

I've read it said that we should consider annoying people a blessing because they give us an opportunity to practice patience--it sounds like they're sure giving you a lot of practice, so you must be very blessed!!! :) Seriously, I know how irritating that can be. A lot of retirees shop at the grocery store here and stuff like that happens all the time. Last week a woman held 100 people up in line for about a half hour.

Well, now some are very sweet and you just wanna hug 'em. This one little lady who was legally in front of me in line, took FOREVER to get her check written. I remembered my old grandma who had the same problem, but in a little town nobody cared how long you took. But here was this little lady in this huge Walmart, just struggling to write her name on the check. I just cried. After she got done and left, I swear, the cashier and I were wiping away tears...she was so sweet.
