There was a thread about this show...I'm not into horror, but I did skim it. It did mention that he modeled one character after his own experience, and some of the doctors are based on doctors he dealt with. He did mention that the coma guy was hurt a lot worse than he was.

Didn't know that--interesting. I remember him mentioning once he didn't like doctors.
